Rosena Stubbs, DTM is a passionate writer, mentor, life coach and first time published poetry author of Memories of a Misguided Rose. Rosena has attained many professional accolades and takes part in both civic and professional development organizations.
Rosena Stubbs is a Senior Manager at a professional services organization. She obtained her Bachelors of Science degree with a focus in Computer Science from Tennessee State University and a Masters of Business Administration with a Speciality in Cybersecurity from St. Thomas University. As a leader in Risk Advisory, she holds the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designations with over fifteen(15) years of professional experience.
She has served at both the club and District Level. She is the Immediate Past President of Healing Communicators Toastmasters Club and recently earned the Distinguished Toastmaster Designation. She has also served in the past as Area Director and is the past District 47 Speech Contest Co-Chair.
She embraces her passion for youth development and helping others, through mentoring and coordinating various volunteer initiatives including coordinating Toastmasters’ Youth Leadership Programs and a read aloud program initiated with a local primary school to promote literacy in The Bahamas.
It was her mother’s love for teaching, along with her own experiences as a middle child, that has lead TM Anastasia Smith to pursue a career in education over 20 years ago.
This mom of 2 believes that “If you want to be heard – you must speak”- and it is this belief that has lead her to joining Toastmasters International. She desires to not only speak but to speak well, and after a period of visiting other clubs has found her home with Dynamic Persuaders Toastmasters Club #1200778.
Within her 5 years in the program she has been a Division B Youth Leadership Program facilitator, Past Club President, 2x VPPR and Past Secretary.
She is the Immediate Past Area 62 Director and the current
Youth Leadership Program CoChair.
She has done these things and more all while completing her first path of Leadership Development and working through her second path Motivational Strategies
She has many pursuits in the making however: she would count it as a major achievement to simply be remembered as someone that has lived a full life and has left a positive impact on the next generation.
Jacquelle E. Sconiers is a native South Floridian and member of Toastmasters 305 Speaks. She earned her BA in Business Management and Marketing, and an MPA in Public Administration from Florida International University, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D at Nova Southeastern in Educational Leadership.
Ms. Sconiers serves in many capacities as a professional educator with alternative student populations of Miami Dade for over 24 years. Positively impacting the lives of youth in detention settings, this has lauded her the 2009 District Teacher of the Year for the MDCPS district. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. where she serves in several leadership capacities of both organizations, and is the Chairman of the W.I.S.H Foundation, Inc. In her spare time she cuddles her furbaby Nightwing and operates 93 Degrees LLC, her event rental company.
John Schneyer, DTM, has been a Toastmaster for 14 years. John has completed 27 Competent
Communication Manuals, 14 Competent Leadership Manuals, 12 Advanced Communication Manuals,
and been awarded Distinguished Toastmaster twice. John was the Area Governor of the year in 2010-
2011.
John is a quality improvement manager focusing on continuous improvement in his professional life and
in Toastmasters. John starts an engagement by asking, “What do you want to accomplish?”
John has been the District 47 lead photographer for several years. He has had his work published and
has won awards. John likes to get up at 4:30am to take pictures well before the sun rises.
Having recently moved from Boca Raton to Port St. Lucie, John is looking to join a Toastmasters club that
meets in person and to find new venues for his photography.
Division B Director Nick Smith, DTM has been a Toastmaster since 2006.
Nick has served in every club officer position across three different Toastmaster Clubs during his time, and earned the Select Distinguished Area award in 2016-2017.
He achieved the DTM award in 2018.
He has served as the District 47 Video Lead, and helped out with and lead the District Conference A/V multiple years.
He was chosen as The District 47 Toastmaster of the Year in 2022-2023.
When he’s not Toastmastering, Nick is owner of Digital Power Solutions, a niche digital marketing firm. He has a 20 year background in information technology, entrepreneurship and real estate investing.
Rhonda Sternberg is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Finance. She returned to school, attending Florida Atlantic University in preparation of the certified public accounting exam. Upon passing the CPA exam she joined her father’s tax practice. Rhonda is president and sole owner of this tax practice with over 30 years experience.
Rhonda attended Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law School as an evening student while running the tax practice. She has been a member of the Florida bar since 2001. She joined her father again in his law practice and is now the sole owner and president of Bernard Sternberg PA. located in Coral Springs Florida
Bernard Sternberg PA concentrates in the area of estate planning. Wearing both hats, CPA and attorney, Rhonda is able to give her clients legal advice while be mindful of the potential tax implications.
Rhonda joined toastmasters in 2017 and is currently a member of Club Outspoken (home club) and CSCCR Chamber Voices (one of the founding members). She has held various officer roles in each club and had served as Audit Committee Chair in 2023-2024.
Rhonda deeply appreciates the significant impact Toastmasters has had on her life. Her confidence has soared, and she’s gained invaluable tools to become a better listener and provide more effective feedback. She hopes to be able to share the benefits of Toastmasters with others, inspiring them to grow in confidence and communication just as she has.
Michael E. Strong-Mason is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and the second of two children to Grover Jr. and Joan Strong. Michael attended Olivet College (now known as the University of Olivet) in Olivet, MI, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social studies and English, along with a certification to teach K-8 and 9th grade social studies. Michael furthered their education at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL, obtaining a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and completing all coursework but not the dissertation for a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Administration.
After graduating from Olivet, Michael realized that elementary education was not the right career path and began working in customer service at the Detroit-Wayne Metropolitan Airport for Eastern Airlines. Michael worked in various agent positions and was eventually promoted to Sr. Analyst, Aircraft Routing in Miami, FL. Throughout her career at Eastern Airlines, Michael held several positions, including Supervisor of Aircraft Time Control Analyst, Representative of Management Recruitment, and Director of Pilot and Management Recruiting. When the airline ceased operations, Michael was serving as the Director of Human Resources.
Michael then dedicated 29 years to Miami Dade College, where they held roles such as College Recruiter at the Wolfson Campus, Coordinator of the College Reach-Out Program, and Director of Student Services at the Meek Entrepreneurial Education Center. Michael also taught student life skills for both entering and struggling college students in the School of Social Sciences and entry-level education courses in the School of Education. Michael retired in July 2020.
In addition to their professional career, Michael is a charter member of Toastmasters Club 305-Speaks, a member of Top Ladies of Distinction, Southern Pearls Chapter, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Gamma Zeta Omega Chapter. Michael has also served as a board member for the W.I.S.H. (Women Involved in Service to Humanity) Foundation, Inc., and as the financial secretary for the foundation.
