Distinguished Toastmaster Nick Smith is an entrepreneur, real estate investor, web PHP and JavaScript programmer (with a sprinkling of Python), hobbyist videographer (have mirrorless will travel), hobbyist video editor (have Resolve won’t travel), and a swell guy.

His passion is living a satisfying life, with satisfying levels of self-improvement, being part of movements/events that are “something big,” and learning new things while taking time to leisurely enjoy the good things in life. He enjoys good times with good friends and a good episode of Star Trek or Stargate.
He is a proud member of the Plantation Club, a past Division B Director and a past Select Distinguished Area B23 Director. He has acted as the Technology Director during the 2019 and 2023 Spring District 47 Conferences.
To pay the bills, Nick is a half-owner and IT Director of Digital Power Solutions, a leading lead-conversion solutions provider for PowerSports, Recreational Vehicles, Marine, and Archery dealers. His professional experience includes radio broadcasting, sales, graphic design/typesetting, project management, network and systems IT management and remote computer systems service.

Conference Co-Chair

Joined Toastmasters in 2012. In 2019, I earned the Distinguished Toastmaster award. Throughout my Toastmasters journey, I have served in every club officer role—many of them multiple times—and currently belong to three clubs: Universal Toastmasters #7653, Universal Advanced Toastmasters, and Bold Communicators Club. I am also a multiple Triple Crown award recipient.

Beyond the club level, I had the privilege of serving as Division A Director during the 2018–2019 program year, helping lead the division to President’s Distinguished recognition. In 2024, I served as a Helping Hands volunteer at the Toastmasters International Annual Convention in Anaheim, California, celebrating the organization’s historic 100th anniversary.

Professionally, I am a retired Registered Nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Certified Health Coach. I am inspired by Nelson Mandela’s words: “It always seems impossible, until it is done.” That quote continues to remind me that growth begins by taking the first step.
