Application Deadline February 15th!
District 47 is advancing! As we welcome with excitement our fellow Toastmasters from Division D in District 48 and Beachsiders Toastmasters from District 84, we are aspiring to become a unified force for excellence in Toastmasters.
To navigate this transition and achieve a strong foundation, we need YOU.
The District Leadership Committee (DLC) under the guidance of co-chairs Anthony J. Longley, DTM, PID and Emily L. Drenberg, DTM, PDD are now accepting applications and nominations for the 2026–2027 term. This is a pivotal opportunity to apply your expertise, shape strategy, and ensure a seamless and successful realignment.
We are seeking candidates for critical elected roles. Ideal candidates will bring strategic vision, a commitment to ethical leadership, and a focus on member success.
- District Director
- Program Quality Director
- Club Growth Director
- Division Directors
As of 2016, the District Leadership Committee is also tasked with reviewing applications for the following positions:
- Public Relations Manager
- Finance Manager
- Administration Manager
- Area Directors and Other Appointed Positions
The District Leadership Committee will provide feedback and recommendations to the incoming District Director, upon election, for all appointed District positions. Appointment is at the sole discretion of the incoming District Director.
- The deadline for candidates to apply for elected positions is February 15, 2026.
- All Members must declare their intent to run by February 15, 2026.
- Eligible floor candidates shall declare their intent to run in writing to the DLC Chair after the DLC report has been published and at least one (1) week prior to the annual District Council meeting.
Candidates must complete all the following forms and submit them by email to PID Longley at dlc@toastmastersd47.org no later than February 15, 2026.

- Attend a virtual interview with the DLC
- After interviews are completed, the DLC will nominate the best qualified candidates and provide this list to the Transition Committee Chair
- The election of District 47 officers will take place at the District Business Council meeting on: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026

Individuals interested in being considered for Public Relations Manager, Administration Manager, Finance Manager, Area Director, or other appointed positions may submit applications until February 28th, 2026.

An eligible candidate is a candidate that meets the qualifications outlined in the District Administrative Bylaws Article VII (d) and has been evaluated by the District Leadership Committee for the specific role. Only eligible candidates may run for roles that are listed as complete on a valid District Leadership Committee report.
Members of District 84 and 48 who wish to run for office must have served the required time in their current district to apply for office in District 47 this year only.
