Public Relations

The Public Relation Goals for the coming year are to support the delivery of a monthly newsletter ‘The Sunshiner’, assist the Webmaster with pertinent PR information for the district website and support the development of the District Speaker’s Bureau. In addition, the PRO office will be reaching out to the press, TV and radio to provide media exposure to our membership. | |
District 47 includes more than 190 Toastmasters clubs throughout the southern half of Florida and the Islands of the Bahamas. Our northern boundary includes Pinellas, Hillsborough, Hardee, Highlands, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie counties. All Florida counties south of these are included in District 47.

The District Public Relations Officer is Pierre Taschereau, ACS/ALS. He joined Toastmasters in 2001 and has since served as Sergeant at Arms, VP of Public Relations, VP of Education, President, Area 27 Governor and District PRO 2008/09. Pierre is a member of the Gelfand Good Morning Toastmasters club, Toast of Las Olas Club and a charter member of the Everest Advanced Toastmasters club. In addition to Toastmasters, he enjoys stand up comedy. Pierre works as a workshop trainer for WorkForce One Employment Solutions and he lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife Elizabeth.
