Frank Koziol, ACB, CL joined Toastmasters in 2006 at the suggestion of his wife, Lillian, who had joined Toastmasters three years before. Lillian has since gone on to attain her DTM and be recognized as Division Governor of the year for 2007 – 2008.

Once joining Toastmasters, Frank quickly realized that he did not know as much as he thought he did about delivering an effective speech and he embraced the projects within the Competent Communicator manual. As he completed the initial projects and improved his public speaking skills, he competed in the 2007 Humorous Speech and the 2008 Table Topics contests. He placed First and Second respectively at the Area level for these contests.

Frank has served as the Sergeant-at-Arms, VP Education and President of Weston Area Toastmasters and he helped this club attain President’s Distinguished status last year for its 6th consecutive year. He has also served as Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator for several Youth Leadership Programs for the organization Breakthrough Miami in Dade and Broward counties.

Frank is looking forward to serving as Area 25 Governor for 2009 – 2010 and to assist the clubs in this area attain the goals they set for the year.
