Eleanor has gladly been a part of the Toastmasters experience for well over a decade; since being introduced to the organization through Jr. Achievement. After gradually and methodically stepping outside of the confines of her comfort zone, she was finally awarded the highest level of achievement, Distinguished Toastmaster, at the historic gathering of District 47 in Jacksonville, FL in April 2008. Other interim awards she’s received and positions held while on that journey include: Past Area 32 Governor (2002/2003 - Distinguished Area), Inaugural (Hillsborough County) Division Governor (2003/2004 - President’s Distinguished Division), District 47 Height of Endurance Award (2004), District 47 Public Relations Officer (2005/2006), and the Merit Award for Communications Excellence – by the American Chamber of Commerce (Research) Executives association. Additionally, Eleanor has competed and won 1st and 2nd place titles in the Evaluation Contests held at both the Area and Division levels in 2004, 2006, and 2008. In addition to being Area 35 Governor, Eleanor is proudly serving as president of the Noonshiners Toastmasters Club in downtown Tampa.

Eleanor is currently employed at AAA Auto Club South, where she has worked for 10 years in the fields of Database Marketing and now Vendor Risk Management. When not working or involved in Toastmasters, she enjoys family and friends, movies, writing, tennis, being active in her church, supporting the ASPCA, and volunteering in the community.
