o Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) as of July 1,2009 • 2009-10 Division E, Area 53 Governor o Graduated “Cum Laude” from Law School in Puerto Rico in 1970.
Executive Management experience for over 40 years o Up to 1980 executive vice president of Barkers and Franklins of Puerto Rico, the largest retail complex of the Caribbean, as in house attorney headed labor union negotiations for the company. o Relocated to the continental USA in1980 and joined Home Depot where in less than three years later became the district manager for the South Florida stores with direct and indirect responsibility for over 2000 employees and over 300 million dollar in annual sales. o Retired from Home Depot in the year 2000 and created and is President of “The Vivaldi Group Inc” a management developing consultant company. Awards: During his years in South Florida has received numerous awards for his involvement and dedication to community service, including o 1994-Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce “Julia Tuttle Award”: For his involvement and contribution to South Florida recovery during and after Hurricane Andrews o 1996-The Miami Herald “Spirit of Excellence Award”: For his creation of his “Stars Hope Scholarship Program” and other contributions to the South Florida Community o 2004 – Puerto Ricans Making the Difference Award: For his creation of a non profit organization raising funds for a scholarship program for Hispanic students o 2005- Hispanic Chamber of Broward County, “Shining Star Award” For his commitment for the Hispanic Community & Business | |
