Anthony (Tony) Longley, DTM joined Toastmasters in May 1987. Just a few weeks earlier, he was a guest at the District 47 Spring Conference in Fort Lauderdale. This experience convinced him about the wonders of Toastmasters.

Longley is currently a member of 4 clubs: First Bahamas branch of Toastmasters Club 1600; Action for Achievement Toastmasters Club 1095; Healing Communicators Toastmasters Club 7178 (Charter member/Mentor) and FirstCaribbean Bank Toastmasters Club 753494 (Charter Member/Sponsor). At the club level, he served as Sgt-At-Arms, VP-PR, VPM and VPE. Additionally, Longley served as Club President of Club 1600 in 1997-98 and Club 1095 in 2002-03, leading both clubs to President’s Distinguished Club status.

While serving as an Area Governor in 2001-02, Longley led Area 35 to a Select Distinguished Area. He received his DTM designation in 2004. Longley enjoys attending District 47 conferences and has not missed one in over 10 years. He has served in numerous roles such as judge, chief judge, conference presenter, District Photographer and District Sgt-at- Arms.

Longley is an Insurance Executive with over 25 years of industry experience. He is a managing partner in the insurance firm, Assured Financial Services & Insurance Agents & Brokers Ltd. in Nassau, Bahamas. Longley is a “Life Member” of the prestigious insurance industry association, the Million Dollar Round Table; The Premier Association of Financial Professionals©.

When he is not working or engrossed in Toastmasters activities, Longley seeks refuge by indulging in either of his two passions, photography and distance running. In the Florida area, has successfully completed the Miami ING and the Orlando, Walt Disney Marathons.
