Chato Outten, ACS/CL joined The First Bahamas Branch of Toastmasters Club 1600 in Oct 2003 and served in many club officer roles including President, Vice President for Education, Vice President for Membership and Treasurer. As President of Club 1600, the Club achieved many goals including the Smedley Award, Talk Up Toastmasters Award, Beat the Clock Award, President’s Distinguished Designation.

TM Outten has also served as organizer, trainer and judge of various workshops, contests and training seminars on behalf of Toastmasters International Division I. He officially served as a mentor for one of the corporate Toastmaster Clubs in the Bahamas, Scotia Dynasty Club 829842; however unofficially he is involved with many of Division I’s clubs, assisting whenever called upon.

TM Chato Outten is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. His passion is uplifting the youth, especially the young men, of his country and guiding them to become productive citizens; and promoting positive, life enhancing programs such as Toastmasters International.

TM Outten is an Accountant by profession and is currently is employed as the Financial Controller at Freeport Oil Limited. He is married to another toastmaster, the lovely Suncher nee Johnson. He enjoys business and looks forward to being financial wealthy some day soon.
