Our District Governor is Distinguished Toastmaster Antionette M. Fox. She has been involved in the Toastmasters program for 9 years. During this period she has served at the Club, Area, Division and District levels and has clearly demonstrated her leadership capabilities.

She has served the District as Lieutenant Governor of Marketing July 1, 2006 – June 30, 2007 and Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008.

Served as the Division Governor for the Bahamas Division I and won the Division Governor of the Year 2005/2006 for District 47.

She served in the capacity of Assistant Division Governor with responsibility for education and training for Division I. She has organized both officer-training sessions for the Bahamas Division I and has worked closely with all club EVP’s to ensure the educational standards are being adhered to. Quarterly meetings with the EVPs of the clubs were held to discuss achieving the DCP goals, to encourage development of toastmasters and to mentor EVP’s for the role of President for succession training. TM Fox was responsible to organize the Humorous Speech and Evaluation Competition for the Bahamas Division I and the International Speech and Table Topics Speech Competition. This training ground has given her much knowledge to take ahead in the position of Lieutenant Governor of Education & Training for the District.

During the year 2003-2004, DTM Fox served as the first Area Governor for Area 55. This Area remained in the top five of the District during her tenure. During her tenure as Area Governor, TM Fox was instrumental in forming, sponsoring and mentoring two new clubs in her area. At the completion of her leadership as Area 55 Governor she became the District 47 Area Governor of the Year, her Area achieved the President Distinguished status. She was also chosen as the Area Governor of the Year for Bahamas Division I - 2003/2004, she was chosen Evaluator of the Year for the Bahamas Division I of Toastmasters for the year 2002-2003.

DTM Fox served as Vice President of Public Relations, Vice President of Membership and Secretary during the TM year 2002/2003 of club’s 9477 and Club 1095 respectively all at the same time while assisting the current Area 35 Governor TM Cyprian Gibson as Asst. Area Governor for Marketing and Contest Chairman.

DTM Fox possesses strong leadership skills and has the ability to get others to achieve their goals and her leadership style is unique but effective. She puts service above self and has a passion for the Toastmasters program, and a drive for seeing others succeed in the program. Antionette is a Communications Coordinator and a Certified Professional Secretary. She is also completing her degree in Management and a Certification in Computer Graphic Design. She is also a Referring Travel Agent and the owner of a travel business.
