District 47 Lt. Gov. Marketing Rick Furbush, DTM PDF Print E-mail
Rick FurbushRick Furbush joined Toastmasters in 1989 in Toronto Canada. That year he also joined NSA (National Speakers Association). He rejoined Toastmasters in 2006 as President of “Toast of the Bay” and they achieved their first ever Presidents Distinguished award. That year he was also a Club Coach for Tampa Bay Toastmasters who became Select Distinguished. Rick and his wife Kathy are members of 4 clubs and charter members of two. He has just finished his term as Division G Governor earning Presidents Distinguished Division. He feels that one of his greatest accomplishment as Division Governor was to get all 5 of his Area Governors and himself to achieve DTM this year.

Rick has a B.S. in Engineering from Cornell University where he was the starting Quarterback for 4 years earning the Most Valuable Player Award and named All Ivy League Quarterback. He went on to graduate studies in the Architecture program at Harvard University.Rick has been very active as a volunteer with his Alma Mater Cornell University. He was Class President for 10 years. Cornell Club of the Suncoast President for 10 years. Board member for the Cornell Assoc. of Class Officers and is currently a member of the Cornell Council with the Board of Trustees.
