The District Public Relations Officer is Pierre Taschereau, ACS/ALB. He joined Toastmasters in 2001 and has since served as Sergeant at Arms, VP of Public Relations, VP of Education, President and Area 27 Governor. He is a member of the Gelfand Good Morning Toastmasters club and a charter member of the Everest Advanced Toastmasters club. In addition, he has been performing at the Hollywood & Palm Beach Improv as a stand up comedian. Pierre is the owner of Real Estate Lending Advisors, a mortgage brokerage firm and he lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife Elizabeth.

The Public Relation Goals for the coming year are to create a monthly newsletter, support a powerful website and establish the first district 47 speaker's bureau. In addition, the PRO office will be reaching out to the press, TV and radio. There will be a new Toastmasters Kiosk enabling event visitors to purchase Toastmasters merchandise on the premises.
